so my doors are completely stripped.
really thinking about taking the side glass out of them to get them tinted while i do the final body work. they have different tinting on every window lol

i had to rip the seals on the inside of the doors, behind the door panel to remove the edge track and remove the handles.
hope to either make my own and re-seal them.

i have a front seal kit that comes with window channel.

for the rear doors, i have outside rain seals. and door handle/lock seals.(for the front)

the inside window seals were cracked, and brittle.
from my research, i cannot find the inside door seals.
and i really dont want to reuse the old ones.

if anyone has some in good shape, im willing to buy them!!

the ones i have for the front are felt.
the rear ones i pulled out are rubber.
seems impossible to find the felt for the rears also.

the front doors also had a top weather stripping.
i havnt looked for them, but i think they will be easy to get.


if anyone has any info/parts/links to some of the above mentioned items, i would be greatfull!

also if anyone has any added protection/ideas on how to make these doors better, im all ears!

Remove wimdows imstLl 6" bullet proof glass lay concreate in door with ballistic kevlare layered at outer layer aginst steel first...dunno what yer term better means

For the window channels on my rear doors I used aftermarket front door window channels. They fit pretty good. No complaints from me.

For the door to cab seal I used front door pinch weld seems and cut them off as needed.

Rear door weather stripping is hard to find as you know. And if you do it's New ford stuff that's expensive.

I think ford still sells the inside and outside window trim/rubber. I heard the repop ones don't fit well. I need some but am to cheap to buy them, and ford has a high price tag on their parts.

yea the outside window seals were 100 a pop.

mine are *****'d and i had to buy them

also thinking about using some adhesive sound deadening on the inside of the door skin, just to quiet the doors down and eliminate some road noise.

I left mine off and it really doesn't look bad nor does anyone really notice since its black. I would insulate the doors, you can get all that stuff from LMC. I have used that fiber type insulation with the aluminum backing and it works good but you need some good shears to cut through it. you could also try the insulation that is made of a tar like material, it also has an aluminum backing and is thinner then the fiber stuff.

i used some thin rubber stuff i got at home depot.
AC dukt insulation, its cheap and easy to work with. and when i did my floor, it made a world of difference.

nope, LMC does not carry the inside door seals.
nor have i found the replacement plastic, but i can easily make those.
the seals on the other hand... im gonna have to use old ones.

I'm lost with all the different terms.

But then you say seal, and also talk about the plastic water seal behind the panel.
When you say seal, I think of the stuff between the door and body. Normally referred to as weatherstripping or door seal.
