So I read where a guy adjusted the CC on his IDI so it was not able to apply as much throttle. I searched, but couldn't find any information on how to do this. I am wanting to adjust mine so that it will allow some speed variation in the rolling hills around my home. I am thinking that reducing the throttle inputs will help with my MPG and I don't mind losing 5mph during a hill and regaining it at the top. If I was really concerned about going as fast as possible I wouldn't be driving an E250 Diesel van. Thanks

What? Was it a vacuum controlled or electronic CC? Only adjustable CC I know of bends at the ankle.
Not sure which set up. It was David85 on FTE. He discussed doing it in this thread and a couple of others, but never said how he did it:

He hasn't been on in a while so I couldn't ask him directly. It sound like he just limited the amount that the throttle could move with the CC. I am wondering if it could be as simple as shimming out where the CC cable attaches to the bracket prior to the IP. This would mean that the cable would move the same distance, just wouldn't pull the throttle on the IP as far when it was fully engaged......or I thought there might be an adjuster on the cable somewhere that would effectively do the same thing.

On some cc brains have an adjustment like whats found on most Gm cars and trucks. The part of the control head where the speedo cable plugs into can be rotated. One direction increases the control and the other decreases the control. Best to goggle it for more info than I can give here. Only delt with it once more than 35 years ago..
