Cross member removal for pan access?

Has anyone ever removed the pan crossmember to gain access to the pan or crank? Then the crossmember could be bolted back in place? Thanks

That crossmember is the main structural integrity in the front of your truck, personally I wouldn't take it out - I'd pull the engine.

Lets see...engine above attached, suspension below attached, nope nadda good idea to take that out less you want big issues ....mucho bigger n what u started with.
