crank sensor

so here's the deal i replaced the crank sensor it lasted less then 1 hr idling and 2 mi drive then popped the same code it had before i pulled the new one out the end was all ground to heck any idea's on causes or what to look for or check need to fix asap thank's in advance jerry

hey the code was like 0336 i have snap on scanner so the scanner said sensor was bad it's got visiabl damage talk to diesel mech he said the tone ring is the culprit now i just have to decide weather to pull the motor or try to do it in frame via oil pan removed ? it's about 6's one way or the other ant thought's would be great jerry

well got pan off screw came out of tone ring get new screw new sensor put oil pan on should be back makin smoke real soon

yup you and every one i talk to say's what happened then next comment is never heard of that my truck is murphy's law wish i had a cam would post pic's
