In the process of a D60 swap in to my 1991 F250. The 1990 F350 donor truck had the wrong steering box and the shorter 150/250 pitman arm.
I'd like to buy a new (Moog, Raybestos, etc.) arm and want to make sure I get the longer piece.
I have looked at many websites and most state that one arm fits 150/250/350/Bronco and I know that is B.S.

What is the verified correct part number for a stock F350 4X4 pitman arm?

Thanks!

It's an E5-something number, can't read it very well. Regardless, RockAuto has them, should be AC Delco 45C0083 or Raybestos 4451083, both are listed for '86-'97 F350 4x4 only which is the correct manufacturing run. Alternatively you can also use an arm from an F-Superduty, IIRC it was the same factory part # as the F350 4x4 one, but even if it's not functionally it bolts on and works the same.

Check out post #2 here http://www.oilburners.net/forums/showthread.php?69633-My-F250-axle-swap-D50-to-D60

I zoomed in on my original picture and it is # F5TA-3590-GA

I think this arm is common for many models including Ranger, Bronco II, F150... should be easy to get.

That's no F5 ('95 model year) part number, kinda looks like it but it ain't, it's an E5 meaning '85 - Ford parts usually run a year ahead of the respective model that uses them, which in this case would be the '86 F350. Also this pitman arm is unique to only D60-equipped F350s and also the F-Superduty trucks with their factory Rockwell solid I-beam. Everything else has shorter knuckle arms and thus uses shorter pitman arms.

Thank you, I double checked and you are correct, E and not F. I edited my post above with a comment.

A little more digging shows a Moog K8769 in addition to the Raybestos and ACD numbers posted earlier.
I've seen several different casting numbers but didn't bother calling my Ford parts guy to verify the actual part number.
