Coolant Flow?

Ok when I pop the hood to check the oil, I notice the top rad hose is empty? is it always like this?

Have you checked it running and hot? I would guess it should have pressure on it then.

Yes it has pressure on it when hot I was just wondering if it should have liquid in it when cold?

I would say just what is bypassed, which probably isn't enough to "feel"
