Got to fix my clutch pedal, I read the few threads that were going on about it a little while ago, just want to make sure I got it all right.

I am cutting where I have "cut?" marked and I am grinding where I have "grind?" marked. I am not sure about the "grind" one... if I grind the bump off, does it pop out? or how is that stub held into the pedal arm assembly?

As you can see, it really needs help!

I am picking up the list of hardware tomorrow:

1- 3/8" Heim joint
1- 3/8"x1 1/2" grade 8 bolt
1- 3/8" nylon stop nut
1- 1/4"x 1/2" set screw
1- 1/4 20 nut
2- 3/8 flat washers
Crap load - grinding wheels for the dremel

wwwbabit,

I think,by looking at your shopping list you were here. Clutch Pedal Mod ;Sweet

The metal tab that the dowel pin has a nut up in there that comes off and with a little leverage from the shaft from the pedal side of the assemblly will pop that tab right off where you can get it on a bench grinder. The dowel pin will the pop right off with a couple of good taps. Just make sure you put the tab back lined up with where it came off. Otherwises your pedal travel will be different. I attached another photo to show where I cut the push rod at. From there, that left enough rod that the set screws were almost not needed. I put them on anyway to keep things snug.

Good luck and welcome to that mod, you'll love it! ;Sweet

Ron
