Has anybody bypassed the clutch switch so you can start your manual tranny truck in neutral, without pushing the clutch pedal? Did this on a suzuki sami but it had no cruise control.

yea, look under dash towards the mc pushrod you'll see a black looking thing on the push rod and a grey connector on it. Unplug that cut the wire loom so you can see the wires then cut the 2 red with blue stripe wires, strip the cover off the wires and then solder/crimp/tape them together

my truck does this anyway haha I usually start my truck without even getting in it. I just pop the clutch into neutral and crank her off... I guess the PO bypassed it.

Doing my master&slave today. Is the physical switch required to remain to help guide the pushrod? Is it required to be plugged in to the loom for anything else? Or can I simply ditch it? No cruise to worry about on mine. Anything else the safety switch controls?

If you bypass the clutch switch and push the clutch while cruise control is "ON", you will probably end up with the engine going to full throttle (and hitting the governor). I know a guy that destroyed a 455 Olds pulling a similar stunt. I like the switch idea. Leave the switch in "Normal" mode until if/when the day comes that you need to push start the truck.
