You have to stop at the scales because it has a utility body? It didn't know that.

"technically" yes you do. anything other than a pickup bed...utility, flat, no bed, requires a stop at the scales no matter what weight class you are.

Yeah like a lifted toyota with a flatbed. CHP knows its not a commercial truck but can be pulled over for skipping scales

Wow... I learned something today about anything other than a standard bed on my rig... Sure wont be changing the bed or anything else thats for sure... Damn state of comifornia.

Yeah it sucks. I pass up nice trucks all the time. Im not a huge fan of flatbeds but service beds are great for tools. I'd love to have a service bed truck to hold my cab over camper
