I have fuel with decent pressure after the fuel filter to the the back of the ip. Is that a check valve that is encircled by the hi pressure lines leading out to the injectors? I'm beginning to think that if it is a check valve it may be stuck shut. Thanks everyone. 1986 6.9 idi.

That is the fuel return check valve. I think @85rollback is referring to the fuel inllet of the injection pump
Yes, some of my terminology might be off, and I am not a good writer lol. But it is right at the back of the injection pump that I am thinking I have an obstruction.

No but I believe that there is a screen in there. You may have to clean that. You'll have to remove the hard line and the brass fitting(s?) that go into the back of the IP in order to get to the screen.

Ok, I removed some of the hard lines and removed the brass fitting. No screen so far. I will get my scope out and see if I can see anything in there.
