CDR valve tube breaking apart and stuck

So changing my CDR valve and the tube fell apart when taking the valve off so I vacuumed out the Chunks or hard rubber and tried pulling rest out with pliers but only got down to part that goes treads in....can't get that part out. Anyone run into this and how did you fix it?

When I encounter this issue, I usually break apart the hardened rubber and pull it out chunk by chunk. The baffle under the hole does a good job of catching any chunks that fall into it. Just make sure to fish them out when done.

My problem now is I can't pliers on the rest of it

Might be able to get a small screwdriver/ prybar/ chisel under the outer lip and pry on it.

Got it out finally! New shiny one is in.....long over due
