The length of the line is going to dictate how long it takes to carry the amount of cc's from the pump to the injector.
If the lines are larger in diameter than oem, then the larger sized line will retard timing.
Takes longer to travel to the injector.

Literally it's a ******* contest, if the lines would fit under any oem of aftermarket induction components then we'd not be discussing it with this much intrest.

I thought this was interesting... from the AERA bulletin for the 7.3/6.9 pertaining to injection lines.

"Injection lines - Due to the .060" retraction of the injector nozzle on the 7.3, all 7.3 injector lines have been shortened by .060" However, all lines with the exception of #1 on F series, and #4 on E series, are interchangeable between 6.9 and 7.3."
