Can a bad diesel cause a rough running engine?

, sound like it has a miss? I had filled up the day before go to work on my way to work I noticed that my engine did not sound like it normal self. I noted a miss like sound and white smoke that smells like diesel. I have lost power with this.

I have loosed the injectors to see if I had an injector go bad. All the injectors caused and small drop in engine speed and a slight increase in rough engine noise. I have put my diesel additive in the fuel today. I plan on changing the fuel filter today.

I have no signs of air leak, the motor starters right up even if left sitting two weeks without use.

What else can I check?

Your already doing what i have done so many times before, put a fuel filter on it and HOPE to god it clears up soon. I believe its bad fuel. Ive had my truck do this to me before

Could be bad fuel.
But it also could be something that I just had happen to me acouple days ago on my daily driven 6.9.
