a friend of mine runs a large repair shop (VERY reputable)
helpful fella for finding oddball parts.

I was complaining about my truck, shuddering under 1200rpms (especially in reverse) and the motor spinning alot faster than the truck is moving.
If I floor it, it seems like the motor spins really fast and it takes forever for the truck to catch up.

he offered to get me a custom built 'bulletproof converter" for under $300.
said we could somewhat taylor make it to do what we wanted (since they are built to order)

anyway, is this a good deal?
Will it really help?
any particular specs I should request? a lower stall speed is all I can think of.

thanks
Drew
