I have never had any problems with broken showerheads on any of the IDI's I have owned.......until last month when both broke on my 94 f-250.
This was two months after experimenting with RUG in my WVO blend. I took a 1000 mile road trip so I filled both tanks with WVO and RUG blend, drove 500 miles and filled up with the same blend again from my transfer tank. I don't suspect the WVO because I have done that for years, but that was the first time I had experimented with RUG in that truck.
So I am curious, those with showerheads that have broken in the fuel tanks, are you blending with RUG? Are there folks on this forum who have had tank pickup problems and know that there trucks have never seen homegrown fuel blends with RUG?
I know plastics are blended differently if they will see predominantly diesel. I am wondering if that blend is not resistant to gasoline.
For what its worth, I will not blend with RUG again for reasons other than this one, I am just curious.
