I've seen this question on here a couple time but I cant for the life of me remeber the answer lol. Anyway why does it say on so many websites and magazines that a body lift for an F250 "will not fit truck with diesel engine"? And where is a good place to get one?

As long as it is a 2" kit, you can ignore all that stuff. They just don't want to be held accountable for any vibration, as the drivers side head and firewall are very very close to touching, and do in fact touch when you are in reverse, or if you downshift hard. Not really objectionable as long as your OK with the cause.

Agreed. A 3 or 4" body lift is going to spell trouble for you. You may be able to compensate if you can move the motor forward any in it's mounts.

I only wanted two inchs of lift on my truck. and leveled in the front with add-a-leaf. do you think you could beat the firewall in a little bit so it wont hit?

When I did my 3" lift all that was necessary was 10 minutes prying the firewall back a bit with a crowbar. Not hard at all. I never get any abnormal vibration ever. I would have been fine with a 2" lift, but 3" was all I could find. Got mine on ebay, came with extension for the steering linkage. I could have simply cut the blocks from 3" to 2", but some of the bolts might not have been the right length then, since they are only threaded on the end. The hardest part of my whole lift was dealing with the boots around the shifters, since you have an auto that will be easier.
