Block replacement

I have a 92 7.3 idi block that is ate up with cavitation can I use an early powerstroke block? If so what years will work that I can put my idi parts on?

The above is true. A power stroke block is not compatable with any part of an idi block. Sorry to tell you that. Although they do share some demensional measurements like rod demensions and bore diameters nothing will transfer to the other blocks. What tells you your block is cavitated....:dunno If your block is worm holed it can be sleeved and saved easily. Finding the proper shop that can sleeve it is the next issue.

If you can wait until the end of June I'll have a nice running IDI available...and I live just over the line in IN. Gotta haul a race car to Summit Point, WV middle of June then the IDI comes out for a 24v Cummins.:sly The IDI is a good motor but I'm lookin' for more.:D
