I’ve seen em before. I believe the year ford changed was 92 or 93, before that the beams were forged and you could heat and bend them to get camber correct after lifting or lowering. The cast beams that say “do not weld” cannot be bent like that.

my 91 has the "do not heat, bend, weld" suggestion on it. in which i did not follow.

my custom 2'' lift. alignment is spot on.

i have herd of shops bending them to get proper alignment. i would not go to those shops because that is why we have adjustable caster/camber bushings.

Interesting stuff guys, I’ve thought about building drop brackets but this maybe a simpler solution

I had a shop that wanted to bend the beams on my 1988 E250 to get the camber right, but I declined. I thought that was only necessary for vehicles with kingpins.

I ended up solving my camber issue by buying stronger progressive coils for the front, that were rated for the RV application (something like 800 lbs more than stock). With my winch bumper and accessories, I needed a boost from the soggy coils.

Back to the topic, the OP should get that truck. Decent project truck for sure, and probably no rust since it's from California. While you are in El Cajon, stop in at Gearvender HQ and pick up a GVOD for that beast.
