from what i heard you can unbolt the tail shaft from another 4x4 zf and it will bolt up to a 2wd. you have to swap output shafts also
bellhousing and trans accessories bolt,nut sizes!?!?!?

Yes, the tailshaft is just a few bolts away but swapping output shafts is a PITA. It requires pulling the transmission apart. if you don't have a problem doing that, might as well rebuild it also.
It's not worth it to tear a 2wd tranny down and convert it to 4x4. You are better off getting the right one first. It's not a quick swap, you have to tear the whole thing down as was mentioned to convert it.

welp i tallied it up and its cheaper to buy a used auto just so i can get my truck back on the road. ill get all the parts for the swap around later on! thank you all for your help!
