BEAT 95-97 obs extended cab truck with snow plow worth $3000?

Ok I found a 95-97 Power stroke with a 5 speed for sale. Only reason I'm looking at it is it has a snow plow on the front that I would like to own. I'm thinking the plow is worth around $1500. It's not a v-plow, but has the newer style plow mounts that don't move the bumper out and other than the paint is gone on the mold board the rest of the plow looks good. I couldn't find any labels on it. The plow pump and motor are red.

The truck. 4x4 5 speed. Extended cab short box. 140,000 on it. Body is completely hammered. The hood and maybe the headlights are good. Everything else is completely shot. Rusty, beat, beat and rusty. Engine evidently needs a rear seal as it leaks. Supposed to run and drive out fine, but boy is it hammered. It does have a set of factory Alcoas on it.

So is a hammered OBS power stroke 4x4 worth at least $1500 in parts? It seems like it should be, but as bad as the body is I'm concerned the drive train isn't going to be any good.

Hell yeah. Id buy it. As long as the engine runs and it shifts decent you will have no problem getting your money back out of it

The plow is almost worth that much alone. If you can make some money plowing snow this coming winter, do it until the junk won't run anymore, then shift the plow over to your truck if it fits.
