I recently replaced my CPS with a motorcraft blue CPS and it seems to have cured my stalling problem, but now I have a new problem: sometimes starting out from a stop in Forward or Reverse, the throttle pedal does not work and check engine light comes on.. THis continues for a few seconds, and then all back to normal. I know I need to get the codes read.. Any ideas what this issue could be? '97 PSD with E4OD.

Okay, down on the peddle is a little switch. It's called the IVS (idle validation switch)
You may need to bend the contacting tab a little.
When you push the pedal, you should hear the IVS click.

OK thanks.. And this IVS will make the check engine light come on and then go right back off?

Yes.
I had played with mine trying to get a less touchy throttle and went to far. It would pop the light.
I would just depress the switch with a screwdriver, then be good to go til I shut it off and restarted it.
Ended up just bending it back a little.
