I just replaced my upper and lower rt.front ball joints on my 87 F250 4x4 diesel yesterday. It was a total pain to get the old ones out with out the proper tool and having never done it before. Next time will be a piece of cake. The cost was about $80.00 in stead of several hundred and about 4 or 5 hours of work. the truck was wondering down the road and eating the rt. frt. tire. may have the alignment checked in the near future for tire wear.
