Doing a reseal and detailing a donor 7.3 and discovered a rebuild sticker.
Says “Assembled with pride Hi-Tech Engines
Spokane, Washington “
There’s a serial number for the build.
I couldn’t find anything with a phone search.
Was wondering if any Washington guys knew about them.
I never met the previous owner. The truck was purchased from his son after he passed.
It was a salvage.
Would be nice to get the history.
I think it was a very lucky good find.
Everything looks like it’s a fairly fresh build.
The odometer said 75k.
Probably 175k.

I think they used to be motorworks, if so and its still running you are good.
I put in dozens of various engines from them, then all of a sudden it was nothing but problems, then the went out of biz.

All I know about the history is the previous owner had it backed up to a garage door and it didn't move for around 15 years as the 3rd member would only turn in reverse.
Just discovered yesterday that guy passed away and the guy he was renting a house from sold the truck as salvage when they couldn't get the engine to start.
I'm still three more layers away from all that, but won't get into the twisted rabbit hole that truck went through to get to me.
I can say I had the engine running in 15 minutes and it just purred along.
By then the axles, dash, seats, and steering co0lumn were already gone.
I got the engine and ZF542.
Hopefully it was built long enough ago to be part of the Motorworks group.
Thanks

Sad, all that for a loose pinion nut. So do you have the truck?
