So I'm sure this question has been asked (alot) but what are the thoughts of a centrifugal supercharger on the idi engine? Say a dusty old powerdyne once on a mustang now in a box in my garage.
This is my thought process on it. You are looking for something that would only produce 15 psi max pressure. Also in the range of 750cfm. That would be 1.7x the air needed for our engines to not blow it apart. It is also very late here so I could just be very tired and rambling.
There was a guy on YouTube that had one on an Idi in a bronco but he only got 4 or 6 psi I can't remmber but he couldn't get it to push much and he changed the pulleys an all that.my though is it will probley take a lot of work to mount now I'm not sure cause I've never messed with one. I mean anything is possible lol.
Not worth the effort... It's a matter of efficiency, rpm ranges, and displacement, all of which that blower you have on hand likely won't be suitable for.
You'd have to spin it 50% faster than the 'stang, at half the target peak RPM...
