Maybe you've seen in my signature the truck I'm talking about. It's a 1975 Chevy C30 Cheyenne SRW, currently with an Allison 540 Transmission and a 4-53 Detroit Diesel engine. Grandpa and I are wanting to update this truck a little bit with an Allison 1000 series transmission. Finding the standalone Allison controller is no problem (destroked.com). The thing we're worried about is if there is any way we can make the newer Allison work behind the older Driptroit without having to cobble something together. Any Ideas Fellas?
