Not really diggin the rear of the frame, vs. the wheel well.
Something's gonna have to be done.

ive decided that, for the strength of the frame, and ease of the install to leave the rear frame how it is, and reposition the rear axle to where it should be.
for the gap inbetween the body, and the frame, i will be installing some containers for chains, rifles, and other misc things i may need.
i wanted to arch the frame more, but why spend the time screwing with it? it will just make it weaker.

goal for the weekend is to get the engine and trans mounted, fuel tanks out, rearend repositioned and new rear cab mounts.
see ya when thats done!

I smell a mad max type build coming on. Chains, rifles and 4x4. What else could you need in post apocalyptic commiefornia? :D

a train blade! or a vehicle plow! lol
got alot done tonight, but not as much as i wanted.
the powerstroke is mounted, trans is mounted, front mock up body mounts are done.
rear body mounts have been thought of.
the rearend is almost loose.
tomorrow i plan on getting th rearend tach'd into place.
the gap inbetween the body and frame is alot less and bareable now that the front of the body is mounted where it needs to be.
front fenders lightly hung.
found me a 7.3 E350 im going to look at tomorrow. hopefully its as nice as it says.

Gonna have to do some extensive mods for the gauge cluster.
But the steering is almost done. 1more mount for the column support
Gotta count the splines on the box and order the
Steering parts in the morning.

Now that I can see her from 50 feet back,
She needs 4" more in the rear.

To my eye, it looks like really the front needs to come down. You've got a lot of empty wheel well up front. Maybe you can't and have hood space. Dunno.

Well, the problem is, that the front wheel wells are a lot bigger than the rear.
These tires are 33's
The front end could come down if I swaped the 4" leafs with stock leafs.
But I'd rather raise the rear.
I have 3* blocks which will also help out with the pinion angle.
We will have to see when I get the blocks in if I have to make another adjustment. But the main gear is in. And it feels oah so good!!
Working on the radiator support right now

I guess the rear wheels were tucked in to the original so that's why it feels funny to me. Probably tough to tuck 33's. :D

lol, not on a 89 D-60... unless you wanna narrow the axle...

i got 1/2 of the rad support done today, decided im going to weld the hood to the fenders and make it a flip front end.

i have the hood tach'd to the fenders to help with the alignment.

Well, tonight was my last night to accomplish whatever I could for about a month. Hopefully i can get back on her sooner.
Need to do a few side jobs, and work on my brick nose.

I did get the rear lifted 3" and it looks a lot better.
My driveline angle scares me a bit.
All in due time.
Gonna purchase a hydroboost, if I don't get one for Xmas. I asked santa

that's not so far off (Dimensionally) from my Land Rover. I've been waffling whether to do a body swap and a frame chop, or pull and stuff. Looks like Body swap it is.
