Anyone have one good for a '94? The Chilton manual authors made the executive decision that it's readers wouldn't need it. I'm looking for all the connections that exist in the system. Would be nice to know where they all are without having to take everything apart.

Sorry.

There are a number of compression fittings with o-rings throughout the system. I count two on either side of the condensor, one on the discharge side of the evaporator, one on the discharge side of the drier, and two under the manifold. There is also what appears to be a Ford quick-disconnect thingie between the condensor and the evaporator. Are there more connections inside the evap container? Are there any under the core support?

I replaced all the readily available connection o-rings and it still won't hold a vacuum. Just looking for any I might have missed.

The one between the condenser and evaporator is where your orifice tube is. Have you checked the crimp fittings on the hoses?

There are no connections in the condenser other than the in and out.

Here are the craziest things I've found after hours, hours, and hours of diagnosing:

- Crimp fitting on the rubber liquid line from compressor to the condenser leaked. It appeared to be the o-ring fitting so I replaced it over and over before realizing it was the connector and not the connection itself.

- Compressor shaft seal. I fixed all the leaks in the system and could not for the life of me figure out why it kept bleeding down. The leak wasn't super apparent, it wasn't wet for some reason, but the leak was coming out the shaft seal behind the clutch.

- Evaporator. It's not that difficult to diagnose, actually. Just plug both ends and pressurize the system and check to see if it bleeds out.

Thanks for this. :)

This was the first o-ring I replaced because the fitting is covered with oil and dust. I bet it's the crimp.
