The one between the condenser and evaporator is where your orifice tube is. Have you checked the crimp fittings on the hoses?
There are no connections in the condenser other than the in and out.
Here are the craziest things I've found after hours, hours, and hours of diagnosing:
- Crimp fitting on the rubber liquid line from compressor to the condenser leaked. It appeared to be the o-ring fitting so I replaced it over and over before realizing it was the connector and not the connection itself.
- Compressor shaft seal. I fixed all the leaks in the system and could not for the life of me figure out why it kept bleeding down. The leak wasn't super apparent, it wasn't wet for some reason, but the leak was coming out the shaft seal behind the clutch.
- Evaporator. It's not that difficult to diagnose, actually. Just plug both ends and pressurize the system and check to see if it bleeds out.
