Here is the best I can do. Looks like this. Oil pressure switch is on the far left when you take the cover off, back of the block.

That oil sensor runs your lift pump, I wouldnt completely ditch it.

Has the engine ever been swapped out? A couple possibilities is it has a low vol/low press pump NA non squirter block. If it has a newer block then it SHOULD have high volume/low pressure pump iirc. The oil bypass valve could also be stuck and bypassing all the oil.

It was replaced at some point with a block date coded 2000. That's all I've been told at this point

That block will have high flow piston squirters and needs a high volume pump. High pressure and high volume for a turbo'd application.
