The year started out with a goal and that was to get this truck read to make the run, so K.I.S.S and durability are what is needed. The old front alxe has been sitting on that ground and have leary to touch it with a 10 foot pole since we last left off, it needed u-joint and probulay due for ball-joints. I feel would be chasing to keep alignment in order so parts dont where fast or chasing broken parts due ignoring alignment, do to the ark from the short arms. So first order was to stalk CL to find a solid axle for perferably less than $500. I did manage to get one person down to $700 from $800, not much of a drop with out hubs on a drw. Most I seem to find around where I am seem to have a lowest starting of $1500 for ones out this truck, so half that is not horrable. This kigpin axle was so rusted to looked like parts were becoming one, sorry no pic of it in its unmolested state. I found this fairly easy to strip down to get weight off and ready for partial rebuild.
Now with this modivation begging to be hug, I need to stop something before it becomes a problem like on other trucks I have/had. Rush, It need to get on somewhere and not eat my truck.

So the summer started out expirmenting with ways to buffing it out and led to putting lipstick on this pig. The are areas that I could not get to well and will need to redo at a latter time with better tool. For the most part Im happy with the out come and the axle is finding its way to its new home.
