moving forward

Well, over the long weeked, while Allen (aka-late 99 psd) was home from school, Allen, Ben,and I installed the drive line, but not whithout having to do some detail welding and grinding on flywheel (damaged teeth), trans bolted right up, tranfer cased bolted right up, drive lines bolted right up. Only thing that didnt line up was the transmission cross member, which had to be move 1.1/4" to the rear. Even the transmission mount off the old C-6 bolted right to the zf-5.
Now comes the tedious task of slowly wiring the newer cab and harness off a gasser to work with older truck components. We had to completed rebuild a clutch pedal assembly from a 1988-90 cab to fit the 1995 auto cab. Exhaust up pipe and down pipe from the turbo will be interesting.......... Wev'e decided to give the truck a 1" body lift to help in routing 3" up and down turbo pipes.

Where did you get the new metal insert / piston things for the wheel cylinders. I've been trying to find new ones.

No its full floating.

I took a piece of 5" exhaust tubing and cut it to make it bigger around and then I'm gonna weld it up at the right diameter.

I haven't got any further on it because I'm 500 miles away from the truck and don't wnat to have it the wrong shape

I think were gonna need bigger tires :rotflmao
