Alright folks, I'm new here at the .net so I figured I'd open with our curent project. This is my brothers truck. I picked it up in Michigan for $565. Its a 1985 frame, cab and bed, a 1991 engine and C-6 trans, 1995 front clip.

you know about scas right?

No sir, Please inform me or a link to what you are talking about, Thanks!

Btw, say goodby to the C6 and hello to a zf 5-speed. If anyone has a good price on a 4wd zf I am interested. Or if anyone is looking for a 4wd c6, I will be rebuilding this one and will be up for sale.

Awesome, that cab and bed is MINT!

You hit the nail on the head! I was supprised, especially for a junkyard find. The gentleman that owned that F-150 must have only driven it in the summer or something???? If you look under the dash it looks like it just came off the factory floor!

NICE truck man!!!

Do yourself a favor and get that K40 whip on the roof. The coil needs to be above the vehicle (on the roof) for the flattest SWR's and most range...you can burn up a radio like that!

Welcome to the site and we need to see that thing when she is TOTALLY done!!

If you wanna get technical with it a 102" SS whip is one of the best, most robust and functional CB antennas you can get. Goofy is right though...either way you need to get that antenna mounted either on the roof or make a riser that puts the feedpoint above the edge of the roof. Being where it's mounted now, messes with more factors other than the SWR. If you have any questions about that there's a few of us radio junkies on here.....
