Hi Everybody,

We are plugging away at our project of stuffing a late 86 6.9L with a T19 into a 79 F-150 4x4. One part that we need that we cannot seem to find is the dust boot that shields the throwout fork. No sources seem to have a listing for one for an 86 f-250 diesel (the donor truck), just gassers, and ZF five speeds. Does anybody have any idea of interchangeability of the part, or where one can be found? Thanks for your help!

The 460 one should be the same.. Its the same clutch, and the same transmission, so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Not much different, Russ (type4) redrilled his and bolted it to an IDI. I would think the boot is the same, why don't you try to cross reference both boots and see if the Ford part number is the same.

Good luck

Thanks, All. Somebody DID come up with a p/n (E3TZ-7513-B), and it is not made anymore. Pars123 (obsolete ford parts) shows it, though. We'll see if it ships!

No go. Though they showed it, they do not have it. If anyone knows where one is, we appreciate you letting us know.
