Hey all,

I'm looking at a deal on an '86 6.9, 2wd, automatic. I haven't seen it yet, but was told that it starts fine, but loses power when warm. The current owner was told it needs an IP. It has new batteries, glow plugs and fuel lines. All I know so far.
It is cheap, I'm interested in it for the 6.9 to do something with someday.

Thoughts or suggestions ??

The best thing to do is to take the truck to a shop and get a timing light set to the motor and confirm that the pump is at fault. If that is the case, adjust the offer price accordingly.
