Well I ran mt new motor ******* an 800 mile trip to and from Scotsdale Arizona...... No problems. I saw 1050 degrees on the pyro, boost was 11 lbs. The coolant reached 228 degrees while the trans was at 170 degrees. The motor oil temp peaked out at 260 degrees while all this was happening pulling a steep grade. I had my 3 horse gooseneck with 2 horses and about 700 lbs of feed on board. After the grade things seemed to run better. Kinda like I found more horse power somewhere. Maybe I burned off the possible ring & cylinder fuel and oil varnish. The motor has 4000 miles on it now but only about 1000 miles on the new head studs. I was happy with what the motor could do. Now as Towcat has said. I'll be happier when I "find something to do" to make it just a little bit better.
