7.3IDI - how much fuel flow on supply line and return?

Hello,

I want to create a mpg meter for the 7.3IDI. Two flow meter and I subtract the return line from the supply line with a micro controller. This is no problem, but I need to choose the right flow meters. Does anyone know how much fuel goes min/max through both lines? (the supply line can be determined by mpg ranges, but I have no Idea how much goes through the return line)

Pull the return line off the IP, run it into a bucket of known size. Idle the engine and count the amount of time it takes to fill that. You can then calculate the minimum GPM(figure up to 5X that at higher RPMs?)

The flow from injectors is no more than a drop in the bucket; the IP returns a ton of fuel though.
