I just bought a 1994 crew cab for towing and working on the farm. This truck will be in an extremely hot dusty/silty environment!

So I have been searching and not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I can not for the life of me find any info on what guys are doing on 7.3 N/A engines for air filtration. I am thinking about the Donaldson EAF5187 filter and stock box. What do you think? How does the stock box flow? When I bought the truck the air box just has a open hole into the engine compartment?

Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks for the help!

The EAF5187 would be a good choice! Probably the best filter you could get in my opinion!

I just run the factory one with the cotton sock around it. It pretty much fills up the entire filter bowl and probably provides loads of restriction. But it does a good job. Some people (cough cough Wayne) seem to think im crazy for running it but im ok with itLOL.

Please don't run the K&N filters. Many have had bad experiances with them allowing lots of dirt to get thru them. I'm no expert on these but I do read what members post about filters..

I have been using the Wix 46255 (O'Reilly's), considering the Donaldson EAF5187.
