Fuel system/air intrusion or possible your fuel tank siphon.

How much fuel in the tank(s), and when was the last time you changed the fuel filters?

A BFPP.

A big... pair of pliers.

FYI, there is a drain in the bottom lid, you usually open that first before unscrewing. Not for technical reasons, other than it helps limit the mess.

If you havent already done so (sorry ive been out of town) fill the new filter with 50/50 ATF and Diesel Kleen or the like. Helps to clean out the fuel system. If you leave it dry youll be cranking forever to fill it up and prime the system.

BTW a oil filter wrench that fits the oil filter will also fit the fuel filter.

What does the fuel look like in the bowl now? Any better or still nasty? If nasty, you have to drop and clean the tanks.

X2 heath. You very well could have algae in the fuel. If you do have it (usually seen by black goo in the fuel filter) you need to drop the tanks and clean them then run a "shock" level of Biobor JF to kill any remaining algae. Also keep changing the fuel filters until they are clean. http://www.filterbarn.com/ has the best prices on filters (i run International fuel filters from there)

the fuel is alot better no more water in it i got the drain to break loose so i can drain it now. it seems like it can idle forever perfect untill i drive it then it wants to cut up an die.

yeah napa is a joke. I ordered 12 IH filters for 9 bucks a piece and got free shipping. To say the least I have a few spare filters.

Also if you didnt already know, put some oil on the o-rings when you spin her on.

Back to your problem... I'm going to guess its the IP but I could be wrong. I have a feeling though that water clogged it up. Did you try running the ATF/Diesel Kleen through the filter? Maybe that will help clear it up
