Well, I found a 7.3 core on Ebay and bought it for $77.00... ;Sweet The picrures of it show a complete long block with an injection pump but the injectors look like they are missing. Gee. Other than that it looks like it will fit my plans. I have no idea what may be wrong with it internally but for the price it really doesn't matter at all. Local pickup only but thats no problem as its 70 miles from me. I will have it completely apart by the weekend so I'll report what the internals look like. Neat to have a spare core for parts. Now I can send off the injection pump and get a spare in case I need one along with all the other "spare" parts. :Sly

Yep. Last time I priced metal a couple months ago it was around $8 per hundred lbs for clean cast iron and the clean cast aluminum pistons are worth about $1.60 lb
