Can anyone take a few pictures of all the wiring on the inside passenger fender for the glow plugs and starter relay and everything else? My brother is putting his '84 back together and needs to know how it goes. I'm trying to help as much as possible, which isn't a lot since I'm 1,000 miles away.

Subscribing. Mine looks like it has a lot more wires than are discussed here

The gps never worked on that truck. The controller was smashed apart when I got it. I had a manual setup that worked for a while until my knee hit the switch while getting out one day. I'm pretty sure that fried what was left of them.
It would be easier to rewire the system, like I'm doing on my '90 atm. I don't have good wiring diagrams either, but a good meter with continuity test helps alot. It may be dangerous to assume that what he's looking at will match a factory diagram, as it looked like it might have had a CB, beacons, etc. at one time. Not to mention the liftgate, which has an ignition relay signal wire as I recall. Also, International makes a conversion kit to switch over to the 7.3-type system, it includes controller, harness and gps.

Once again, tell him I truly am sorry. That truck was crash course IDI 101 for me.

Just found this if it helps:

But as I said, most of that wasn't there anymore. :(
I have some engine pics of it still, but none of the fender with all the business on it.

Thanks OldBull, that was half the battle. The other half is knowing how the relays get hooked up now. All those wires were taken off when he took off the fender to get at the engine.

And Smolkin, it's actually not as bad as you think it is anymore. I replaced that GP controller on the back of the engine and re-wired the manual push button, so it all worked just fine. Just gotta figure out which side of those relays all those extra wires go to now.

This is a 7.3 layout, can't be to far off from a 6.9, might help. Just disregard the E4OD tranny. If he has a C6 tranny, then a pic of the VSR on the IP is needed.

Many, many, MANY thanks for these pics go to DGR. Figured I'd post them just in case someone else needs them in the future.
