Look in my webshot gallery in the crew cab album. Several shots of the mods I made to my 460 ZF5. Plus, I also outlined the steps in a post a while back.

I'll search for it and post when I find it.

So it's basically just drilling 3 holes off-center of the 460 ones? My '94.5 PSD needs a new trans and I found a good deal on a 4wd 460 zf5... if it's easy enough to modify I'm thinking I'll just go that route.

Well, that would put a damper on things then... I thought 7.3 PSD's and IDI's had the same bolt pattern.

They do my brother in law is running an IDI trans behind his 7.3 because we found one for a good price. He is camo85 on here.

I was just reading over on PSN... came up with the same conclusion. So the Typ4 mod to the 460 zf will work for my PSD. Good to know I don't have to find a specific transmission or pay a shop $2000 to rebuild mine. I don't even want to keep a 2wd set up, so that's why I wanted to use this 460 4wd zf.

Its a lot easier to drill the holes if you have the jigs.
