I have been having issues downshifting into 2nd gear from 3rd. I can get it to go into gear but not without grinding it badly. If I wait until I am going slow enough to shift into 1st it will go smoothly. No other gear gives me trouble but 3rd will make a clunk sound upshifting from 2nd but goes in and stays in gear with ease.
I can upshift into 2nd easily unless it is very cold out and then it may grind a little bit the first time I shift only.
I have replaced the clutch, flywheel, linkage, heim joint mod, hydrolic slave and master cylinders, and all fliud in transmission with correct automatic fluid all within a few months time because my truck was an automatic before that.
Can I replace the 2nd gear synchronizer myself or does it require special tools and alot of tight tollerance measurements?
