Ive been on a year long hunt for a new truck(currently driving a 88 ford ranger, I need something to daily drive and pull my 16ft Featherlite stock trailer) I found a Really nice 1994 F250 7.3.. currently it is owned by the second owner and he said that the old man he bought it from was a retired farmer and used to to pull a few peanut wagons to the mill every season and daily drive.. every time it needed oil changes he took it to the dealer and had them do whatever they felt fit(apparently it even has two brand new motor craft batteries).. The current owner put a goose neck in it.. There are receipts from new clutch pressure plate, throw out bearing, and flywheel new injectors and glow plugs. There is apparently one small scratch and the drivers seat is a little saggy because the previous owner was a "big ole boy".. How ever it has 280,000 miles.. if everything checks out and it is in good running shape is that too many miles? Price is $4,000

For a diesel its not that bad, as long as it was taken care of and maintained properly, is it a idi or a powerstroke? im sure there are some members on that here that would be able to help you with what to look for.

i know my buddy has a 7.3 powerstoke and he is at 570,000 miles on his, yes it has had some work done but it still runs strong, main thing he had to replace was his transmission, but it was a e4od and he constantly towed, hardly ever seen the truck without a trailer on it, honestly for that price if it is all in good shape i would buy it, but thats me

In my neck of the woods (NY and NC), that's an ok deal at all, but definitely not good or great. I'd keep looking....

Mileage dont mean crap.was it maintained?does it look like it was taken care of?run and drives good?

Would you rather have 300,000 miles taken care of or 100,00 not taken care of?
