hey all,

I have a 1998 E350 ambulance that has a couple exhaust leaks. I can smell them while driving
..

anyway I took the doghouse off and started the truck and can see leaks (soot) at the points marked in red in the picture...

my question is since these leak now, what other areas should I go ahead and repair while I'm taking this apart to fix? other gaskets, etc that are problematic?

I'd rather just do it all at once since its apart.

also, what's the best product or method to deal with these leaks?

anyway, I'm very experienced in Chevy and diesel in general but never been much of a Ford guy.. (till now)

Easiest would be to just replace the donuts.
If you're feeling fancey and spendy, get a set of bellowed up pipes.

up-pipe gaskets are the one thing on a van that is accessible

Btw, IMO, I'm not seeing enough soot there to believe that is the leak you are hearing.
Look around the exhaust manifolds as well.
Had one that the bolts on the drivers rear cylinder were loose. Quit the leak there.
