This is how my crazy brain works. Saw a '97 front bumper(intercooler holes) on CL for sale at a halfway decent price so decided to call the guy up(because I want to install my intercooler). While on the phone with him, he tells me he put superduty springs on his truck and the ride is WAY better(my kidneys haven't been happy with me for a while now) so here we go...

1. purchased set of '04 Superduty springs off CL for $100 (only had 7k miles on them) Front are V-code, rear are B-code w overload confirmed.
2. purchased Sky Mfg reverse shackle kit - http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/new/detaproduct.php?id=162
3. read up on the write-up by Diesel Brad - http://www.oilburners.net/forums/showthread.php?t=48460
4. read write-ups from all over the place regarding OBS reverse shackle and SD spring conversions. Including boxing the frame for our pre-92 trucks. http://www.projectresponder.com/reverse-shackle-kit~19.htm
http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1041083-installing-the-sky-manufacturing-front-reversal-4.html
5. qty 8 16mmx140mm socket head grade 8 bolts. qty 8 nuts, qty 16 washers. These cost me about 1/3 the price of comparable hex head bolts.

Now I'm a little confused on exactly what kind of lift this will do on the truck.

For those who have gone from factory F350 springs to SD springs + the 3" reverse shackle kit, what was the net increase?

Does the superduty spring lift the rear at all over stock? And I'm hoping it's as easy as unbolting the old and bolting in the new(aside from flaring out some shackle holes that is)

measuring from the center of the front hub to the wheel well opening

you will gain approx 3" in the front using the RSK and SD "V" front springs.(26")
you will gain ZERO lift using the SD rear springs, unless your original ones were all worn out.(26.5')

NOW this is over a STOCK F350 height truck and measuring from the center of the front hub to the wheel well opening(24")front and 26.5" in the rear
