I've got a 1988 F350 king cab dually with the 7.3 IDI and and ATS turbo and 5 spd transmission. It was a good truck for several years but a couple of years ago it started having trouble. It would start fine and run a short distance (a mile or maybe 2) then act like it was out of fuel and die. If I let it sit for a while (1-2 hours) it will crank right up and run a short distance then die again. I have an electric lift pump (as described in this post...https://www.oilburners.net/threads/...th-a-facet-duralift-electric-fuel-pump.54496/) which appears to be supplying plenty of fuel. I parked the truck until I could troubleshoot the whole fuel system but some family issues intervened and I never got around to working on it. I've had a couple of people ask me about selling the truck or just the engine/turbo but I've been hesitant to put a price on it. Other than the fuel problems the only thing it needs is paint (still has the original white/red 2 tone but it's badly oxidized). The interior is in better than average shaped and the body has only very minor rust. What do you guys think would be a fair price for truck in this condition if I sold it as is and what would be a good price for the engine with turbo, transmission, etc if I part it out?
Thanks for the help!
