trouble truck will start up.But only if I use a gas rag to fire it up, but once I turn her off it will not start right back up and need the rag it again. replaced the enjection pump all the o rings, copper washers on injectors and don't see any wet fuel. if the truck sets for a couple of minutes it will start back up but turns over for 20 sec before it will fire, five minutes and gas rag again its a 1987 f250 cover says its a 7.3 vin says its a 6.9
any ideas would be great.

Supposed to be a 6.9 but someone could have swapped in a 7.3. you did not mention glow plugs.

The truck is in the garage level ground The glow plug seem to be fine. You can let the truck run for 30 minutes turn it off wait five minutes in the truck won't crank right back I'm thinking it should because it still hot

replaced one bad plug. ? should the truck start right back after it was warm / hot if glow plugs where bad? would compression affect it?

I rarely use my glow plugs and never if the engine is still warm

Sounds like excessively low comp...

How fast is it spinning?

What glow plugs does it have flat spade connectors or a round bullet connector?

If run fkr 30 min should fire ip if sits 5 min unless really bad air intrusion.

Hows the feed line to lift pump from frame to lift pump. Did you replace olives on hard lines?

Where is IP from is it a reman or used? Where are injectors from ? New or remanned or used?

How did you time it?

So much needs to be answered before one can give decent replies.
