My '06 LLY ran a 14.98 @ 92, 2.15 60', and left with 3lbs in 2wd. Its a crewcab truck with 6' bed. If I ran in 4wd with 10lbs I would likely run in the 14.30s @ 95. I have a BullyDog with Outlook, downpipe, 4" exhaust, filter, modded box, and egr blocker.

I have an 02 Dmax and I ran a mid 14 @ 96mph. My 0-60 time was 5.8 sec. I've got it straight piped, intake and an edge chip.:D

14.78 at 90mph. 02 4x4 extended cab shortbed. custom intake, 4 inch mprb with muffler, and superchips flashpaq. left the line soft (3 lbs boost) to prevent spinning.

any more boost at launch and the truck spins the tires. even in 4x4.

If hes running a PPE hot tune he will need a lift pump so the rail pressure can keep up witht he fuel commanded. I bet he drops a full second or more with a lift pump.

still needs a lift pump to supply the cp3 injection pump. A modded cp3 wont help get fuel from the tank to the pump, only helps push more fuel rail pressure.

The 04 LB7 will command 23.000 psi at wide open throttle which the stock cp3 can do on a stock tune. It struggles to maintain that pressure when fuel is added with a big tune and cant keep up so the pressure starts to drop off causing the loss of power.

Log a run at WOT and see what the rail presure does. If it drops below 20,000psi he needs a lift pump and is losing power. Usually around 16,000psi the truck will start popping and run very poorly.

A lot of my buddies and I run dual fuelers and we still run a lift pump to supply our cp3's with fuel. A lift pump is even more critical on a single cp3 truck. Not only is it needed it will save your cp3 from premature wear do to fuel starvation.

My buddies '02 ran a 12.99 after we took the plow rack off. He has 5" straight pipe exhaust off ebay, and HPTuners, but I don't think he's done too much with it. The previous owner claimed a 12.2 by playing with the tune. He wrecked his transmission in it for the third time yesterday.

I know the stock lb7 trucks didn't/dont even have a lift pump.

My 01 Regular cab long box 4wd truck ran a best of 14.6@98 1.6 60' spinning the tires with 12lbs of boost off the line. I had a stock exhaust cut off at the end of the cab, edge box, and a ppe waste gate restrictor (little fitting that went into the rubber hose that fed into the waste gate, gave the truck another 10 lbs of boost) that was with 265/75R16s (like a 31-32 tire depending on brand)

and yes, it was spinning the tires, and still got to a 1.6 60 foot time, I remember thinking *** when I heard the screeching noise as my tires spun a bit. Duramax land is a strange place to be.
