0, 5, 15-40 weights?

Do you recommend running anything other than 15w40 in the idi? a 0-40 sounds pretty nice for winter..

I ran 10w-30 all winter by the recommendation of folks here. My Truck definitely cranked faster in the cold weather.

i tried 5w40 but the thing drank it so fast that i stopped buying it and started topping it with 15w40. i was getting like 200miles to a qt.

id like to try 10w30 but its like chicken teeth here

I had the same problem with my Idi sounds like you might need rings soon. I am running T6 5w30 syn in my PSD and it does fine. Maybe a quart evey 3-5k

Whatever viscosity you use, just make sure it's made for diesels.
