My F250 transmission has been acting up a bit. Sometime hard upshifts. Always hunting for gears at part throttle between 25mph up to 50mph. The tach has never worked correctly since I have owned the truck. It just has been worse recently. I do a search and find the transmission gets a signal...
I have done the search. I have read "At wits end" http://www.oilburners.net/threads/brake-problem-at-witts-end.78362/#post-927148 and I have the same sort of problem. The truck ruined the right rear drum. Bought shoes, bought wheel cylinders (bleeders stuck, cheap enough, just replace) bought...
1991 F250. Heater core is leaking, bought a crappy AZ heater core to replace it with. Found the heater box had nothing to hold the heater core in place in the box. What should be in there? The only thing holding the core in place now is the heater hoses...
Did the search, and found information about the burnt headlamp switch connector on my 1991 F250.

Biggest question. Is there a woodruff key on the compressor shaft of a 1991 F250 Diesel? I have the v-belt pulley type compressor. Bought the clutch from AZ, rented removal tool from AZ (wrong diameter tool..) And then the clutch hub wriggled free without a puller. I noticed the keyway slot...
Well now. It's that time of year when I break my truck out and clean up the yard. (1991 F250 diesel 4x4, not a daily driver. sits most of the time)
And the left front caliper is sticking. Last year the right front caliper stuck.
I have replaced both calipers a couple of times over the...
Been tracking down fuel leaks on my 1991 F250. Did the fuel heater delete and finally sealed the top. (Thank you Oilburners.net for that info!)
But I still seem to have a leak from the bottom of the filter. Should I just throw away the fuel filter and get a new one with seals? Or is there a...
I guy I work with has 5 gallons of kerosene he needs to get rid of.
If I dump 1 gallon at a time into a nearly full tank will it hurt anything? I remember people mixing kerosene with their diesel in the winter to keep it from jelling. So I don't think it will hurt anything. But I might as...
Once again my F250 needs some help. Looks like my fuel heater has started to leak on the fuel filter housing. Is there an easy fix besides replacing the whole filter housing?
Thanks...

I need to repair the 3 way heater hose on my 1991 F250D. Sucker lists for 203 from Ford. Anyone have an idea to fab one up on the cheap?
Hose goes from the heater core to the bottom of the radiator. third end goes to the right cyl head...
Right here.

But the pictures are gone.
Is there a quick, easy change for this or should I just put stock back on. BTW, there is fuel seeping from a switch on the very top of the aluminum...
I guess I need to do this.

strange thing. The part of the belt between the alternator and the crank pulley really flops back and forth while the engine is running. The belt seems tight deflection wise. Is it as simple as tightening the belt further?
Thanks..

Tried oiling the latches while the latch is on the door. Tried spray lithium grease into the latch while it is on the door. No change. Do I need to pull the latches out of the door shell to clean them and oil them or is there something else that I can do?
Thanks,
Scott
There are some fusible links next to the right side battery that connect to the solenoid on the fender. While servicing my truck today I noticed that one of these links is burnt. Tracing with my continuity tester I find that it is the large yellow wire that has it's link burnt. Can anyone...
My rear main is leaking in my truck. Is this a modern 1 piece seal or is it an old school (gasp) rope seal?
Either way I do not look forward to this job...
Ok, the steering box shaft seal is leaking all over the place. (And what a mess it makes...)
To replace this do I remove the pitman arm, remove lower snap ring, remove 4 nuts on top cover, remove shaft replace seal and reverse to assemble?
Or do I remove pitman arm and snap ring...
I have a 1992 F250d that has the battery light flickering...
The gauge indicates that it is charging ok, but the light flickers anyway.
I have not tried a real voltmeter on the batteries to find out what the alternater is putting out voltage wise...
But I did clean the battery cable ends...
